The U.S. Embassy in Jakarta is seeking an individual for the position of Plumber in the Facility Maintenance Unit (FMU), SD Guard in the Regional Security Office, Guard in the Regional Security Office, Guard (Watchman) in the Regional Security Office, SD Guard Supervisor in the Regional Security Office, Chauffeur in the Marine Security Guard Detachment Section, and Administrative Clerk in the Management Section of U.S. Consulate General in Surabaya.

Plumber - Jakarta

Basic Function of Position
The incumbent perform full journeyman level in plumbing trade. He/she perform installation, renovation, modification, preventive maintenance and repair, rebuild of machines, equipment and components associated with the piping and plumbing systems; including sprinkler, water supply and waste water treatment system and extensive range of large and small plumbing equipment for various Government held properties.

Qualifications Required

- Completion of High School is required.
- At least two years direct experience in maintenance, repair, and construction of plumbing work.
- Level 2 (Limited Knowledge) Speaking/ Reading/ Writing in English, and Level 3 (good Working Knowledge) Speaking/ Reading/ Writing in Bahasa Indonesia are required. Language proficiency will be tested.
- Must have skill in using plumbing fabrication, repair tools, and utilize modern plumbing and supporting equipment (air compressor, RIGID threading machines, hydraulic pipe cutter machines, pipe snake machines, etc).  She/he must be able to operate basic truck, forklift, utility vehicle and common vehicle driving skill. Must have skill in manual and mechanical lifting, usage of various safety equipment.

SD Guard - Jakarta

Basic Function of Position
The incumbent detects surveillance on mission facilities and personnel.  Collects surveillance information via human and technological means, evaluates and retains.  She/he is required to operate sophisticated cameras and video equipment, and other available tools, to take detailed descriptions of suspicious persons/vehicle, to give precise reports both verbal and written to supervisors and RSO.  She/he is required to be available to work all shifts, to operate a variety of motor vehicles and motorcycle and respond to mission emergencies.

Guard - Jakarta

Basic Function of Position
The incumbent provides protection for the US government employees, visitors, facilities and equipment from violent attacks, demonstrations, intruders, and theft. Conducts inspection focusing on access control at all USG controlled/managed properties, facilities and residences administered by the Embassy. To respond and assist with routine and emergency occurrences at all USG controlled / managed properties to ensure that no situations exist, which threatens the safety or security of the Embassy employees or properties.

The incumbent manages the SD guard force under the Supervision of the RSO, DRSO, ARSO and Security Coordinator.  She/he directs the team activities such as SD guard hiring, training, preparation of orders, work scheduling and investigations.

Basic Function of Position
The incumbent provides temporary office and functional coverage for American employees. S/He performs short-term assistance for special projects or periods of increased work levels in any Mission office to which incumbent is assigned.
